It's starting to look like a house

The framers continue to make major progress. To our surprise, they have worked the last few days, even though its been raining. As you can see in the photo the outer walls have progressed quite a bit. The shear wall material is in place and they've put in the section that goes up to the roof over the outside doorway into the lower master bedroom. During this process the framer discovered that the windows above the outer lower master doorway extended beyond the inner wall. This would have meant that the wall would have covered part of the window. So in discussion with Rob, they sized the window opening a bit smaller and moved the upper part of the inner wall to solve this problem.

Amazing what can be done in one day

Its amazing how fast the studs go up. On Friday, the framers got quite a few more walls up. The outer walls are now up around the garage and to the kitchen part of the great room. In the photos you can see walls laid out on the ground for the front part of the great room.
