Rough Plumbing

Eventually, the rough plumbing was put in. This included the water lines for the bathrooms, kitchen and downstairs laundry as well as the lines that go from the toilets to the septic. The piping in the photo shows the plumbing for the outer island sink, near foreground, and inner island, farther back and left. Before the concrete slab is pored, the pipes on the ground will be covered.

Because we've started on the house we now have an address. Wow! In order to make it easier for the construction crew to find the building site, Rob installed our address numbers on the gate. In the photo he's temporarily screwing in the numbers. There wasn't quite enough wood to screw in to, so he later added another piece on top. Putting up the numbers make this all seem more real.
